New Day Have a Big Role at WrestleMania 33

It’s a new gig, yes it is. Since becoming the longest reigning WWE Tag Team Champions of all time, New Day hasn’t exactly had a lot to do. There’s not much of a point for them to go back to the tag division and that really just leaves them to go after singles titles at this point. Or, perhaps there’s something else they could do: hosting.

According to TMZ.com, New Day will be the official hosts for “Wrestlemania XXXIII”. While that can include a variety of jobs, it can also involve being in one of the highest profile roles on the show. Wrestling names such as the Rock and Hulk Hogan have hosted the show, along with the occasional celebrity host such as Kim Kardashian.

Opinion: This has potential. If nothing else, there’s the possibility of a payoff to the whole New Day Ice Cream idea that they’ve been talking about for the last few weeks. Really, New Day doesn’t need to be in a tag match or something like that so this is probably the best move all around. Let them do something memorable instead of something like last year’s six man tag.
