That’s a lot of money. WrestleMania has been going for about forty years now and it has transformed into the biggest and most important wrestling event in the world. That brings with it a level of prestige but also a major economic impact. Cities now bid over getting to host the show and now we know more about just how far one city went to get to present the event.

According to public records obtained by Wrestlenomics, WWE received a $5 million grant from the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority to host next year’s WrestleMania 41. WWE will also be allowed to use the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, presumably for The World At WrestleMania (formerly known as Axxess) for free. WrestleMania 41 is set for April 19 and 20, 2025.

Opinion: This is one of those signs of just how big WrestleMania has become. The show is so much bigger than any othe wrestling event to the point where the city is handing over a wing of its convention hall or free as an incentive. That alone would probably bring in a good chunk of money but the city is willing to just let it go for the sake of drawing in the really big attraction. That is almost hard to fathom but WrestleMania is just that important.
