That’s quite the relief. Earlier this year, former WWE star Joey Mercury was charged with a variety of crimes, including fraudulent use of a credit card, third degree grand theft auto and petty theft. The legal issues caused Mercury to miss a chance at being a producer for All In, which was quite the blow to his career. Now though, it seems that he’s gotten some good news.

According to a statement posted to Twitter by his lawyer, Mercury (real name Adam Birch) has been cleared of all charges and the cases against him have been dismissed. Mercury submitted evidence that he wasn’t in the United States when the crimes were said to have taken place. There was also video proof that he wasn’t the person committing these crimes. Mercury was found sleeping in his car in Chicago when police found outstanding warrants against him in Florida, which started this whole situation. Here is the statement released:

It might be time for someone to give him a new gift. Hopefully it doesn’t end as badly as this one did:

Seth Rollins gives gifts to Kane and J&J Security: Raw, June 29, 2015

Opinion: That’s certainly good news for Mercury and hopefully this wraps up his legal issues. It certainly seems to have been a huge mistake by the police department that put him where he is today and if that’s the case, I hope there’s no long term harm to him. Just the original story being out there could cause him some professional damage and if that’s the case, it’s a rather unfair situation.
