It’s good to listen to the King….sometimes. One name that you’ll hear on a list of the most underrated performers of all time is Jerry Lawler. A lot of people have been listening to Lawler for years as the voice of “Monday Night Raw” and now there might be a chance to listen to him in an all new way.
According to podavenue.com, Lawler will be debuting a new podcast called “Dinner with the King” which will air every Wednesday. The show is described as being a combination of wrestling and pop culture with a discussion of current WWE. Here is the official preview for the show:
Pull up a chair and enjoy a BBQ-style wrestling feast for your ears as Jerry “The King” Lawler and Glenn Moore bring you Dinner With The King!
The King will go in-depth about some classic wrestling stories and matches and discuss some of the major storylines in WWE today. The duo will also mix in pop culture — King’s love for Batman, Superman, and his amazing collection — and some sports. All of this and more as you picture yourself in King’s BBQ joint.
He might even have some surprise dinner guests!
Opinion: If there’s one person who has been around wrestling forever and seen as much as anyone else, it’s Lawler. The guy has been in the business for well over forty years and absolutely owned a territory for a long time. He probably has a very interesting perspective on the business and it should be fun to hear his take on things.
