Just in case they didn’t have enough injuries. Earlier this year, the Hardys returned to WWE at “Wrestlemania XXXIII” to one of the biggest reaction of the night. Despite being a huge tag team attraction, a lot of people were wondering how long it would be before they both received a singles run. As it turns out, that might be sooner than you think for one, but longer than you would think for another.

According to ESPN.com, Jeff Hardy has suffered a torn rotator cuff along with a torn labrum and will be undergoing surgery for both on October 3. There is no recovery date in mind, but Cesaro was out six months with a torn rotator cuff. Hardy was injured during the Six Pack Challenge last week on “Monday Night Raw”.

Here’s the match where Hardy was injured.

Jordan vs. Elias vs. Dallas vs. Axel vs. The Hardy Boyz - Six-Pack Challenge, Raw, Sept. 19, 2017

Opinion: That’s quite the blow, both to the tag division and of course Hardy in particular. Hardy is forty years old and doesn’t have much time left in the ring. As for Matt Hardy, there’s only so much he can do on his own and this could be a new way to bring in the Broken character. If Anthem is willing to sell it for a fair price, WWE might need to consider buying it up in a hurry, but only if Matt can figure out a way to do it without Jeff.

Do you want to see Matt use the Broken gimmick without Jeff? What do you want to see Matt do on his own? Let us know in the comments below.
