It’s In His Hands: Cody Rhodes Reveals Some Details On What The Rock Handed Him After WrestleMania

That’s something. Earlier this year, Cody Rhodes finished the story by defeating Roman Reigns to become the WWE Universal Champion, ending Reigns’ time with the title at around three and a half years. That wasn’t it for Rhodes’ issues with the Bloodline though, as he went face to face with the Rock the following night. It was a weird situation, and now we know a tiny bit more about what happened.

Following WrestleMania, the Rock gave something to Rhodes, telling him to never break the Rock’s heart again. Rhodes appeared on Busted Open Radio this week and was asked what Rock gave him. While Rhodes did not specify what he Rock gave him, he said that it was “an olive branch to the Rock” and the Seven Bucks (Rock’s production company) team. Apparently Rock did not feel it was a positive gesture and gave it back to him. Rock is currently filming his latest movie, The Smashing Machine. It is not clear when he will return to WWE TV.

Opinion: This whole thing definitely feels like a way to set up something big between the two of them, likely at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas. We could be in for something rather special between these two, and they have done an interesting job of planting seeds for whatever they have coming up. I’m curious to see what Rock gave Rhodes, and now we know a little bit more about what set this up.
