The first of many. We are in a new time with WWE, as the company has been greatly expanding its international presence. The company has already held major events outside of North America this year and that trend will be continuing in the near future. This includes a show next month in Scotland, and now we have what will likely be the main event of the show.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: SmackDown Results – May 24, 2024

This weekend at WWE King And Queen Of The Ring, WWE CCO Triple Announced that Drew McIntyre had been medically cleared to return to the ring and would challenge Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship at Clash At The Castle. The event will be held in Glasgow, Scotland, McIntyre’s home country, on June 15. Priest had already agreed to the match but no date had been set.

They have a history. Check out how the match was set up:

Opinion: I don’t think it’s much of a surprise that the match is being set, but now we get to see where things go from here. McIntyre getting a chance to win the World Title in his home country could be very interesting, though the idea of CM Punk costing him the title again could be amazing. What matters is they have the match set up and now we can see how it goes.
