Homecoming: Former Champion Returning To WWE On Legends Deal Following 15 Year Absence

Welcome back! There have been all kinds of wrestlers throughout WWE’s history and it can be difficult for all of them to make some kind of a mark. Those who do are often remembered long after their in-ring careers are over, with WWE having a way to keep them around in certain ways. That is what they have done again with a former champion who may be around again.

Former WWE Superstar Lisa Marie Varon, better known as Victoria, has announced that she has signed a Legends Deal with WWE. Varon made it clear that she will not be jumping back into the ring immediately, though she did leave the option open. Instead, Varon said that this means she can be included in official WWE releases, including video games and merchandise. Varon is a two time WWE Women’s Champion and last wrestled for the company in the 2021 Women’s Royal Rumble, her first match with WWE since 2009.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that you get from a Legends Deal and it is a nice idea. Varon is not likely to be wrestling full time or even part time, but getting a Victoria shirt or having her in a video game is a cool thing to see. Let her fans remember her and let her profit off of it a bit as it should only make things better. It’s nice to have her back, as she was one of the bigger names of her era.
