Homecoming: AEW Star Returns Following International Excursion

Welcome back. There are all kinds of talented wrestlers on the AEW roster and some of them are able to be sent elsewhere to see what they can do in another promotion. The opportunity can allow them to see what they can do in front of a different audience and gain a new kind of experience. That is what has happened with a current star and now we are seeing their return.

Anna Jay announced her return to AEW this week on Collision following a stint in Stardom. Jay spoke about her time in Stardom giving her more experience and a different style while challenging both AEW Women’s Champion Mariah May and TBS Champion Mercedes Mone to meet her. Jay last wrestled in AEW on June 26, following a stint in Stardom where she went 4-4 in eight matches.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that could do Jay a lot of good, as she is only 26 years old and has spent most of her in-ring career in AEW. At some point she needs to see what else she can do elsewhere and this is as good of a way as any. Letting Jay try her luck against other stars from a different promotion is about as good of an idea as there is for her right now and it seems to be off to a strong start.
