That’s certainly a thing. Wrestling is built around personal issues and making fans want to see the people involved face off with each other. That is a concept that has worked in wrestling for decades and still does to this day. Every so often though, you will see a wrestler say something that does not seem likely to be leading to a match of any kind anytime soon.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Double Wow: SmackDown Sets All Time Record, Fans Receive Warning Over Noise Levels

WWE Hall Of Famer Rikishi has released a new hip hop song on Twitter. The song, called “The Sultan”, a reference to his previous WWE character, pays homage to the Iron Sheik and takes shots at Hulk Hogan. Rikishi wrote a dedication to the Sheik and talked about what hip hop music meant to him (as in Rikishi) over the years. There is no word on if Rikishi will release more music and Hogan has not responded to the song.

This is certainly different. Check out the song, plus some of the people involved:

Opinion: This might be the most random thing that I have seen in a very long time. Rikishi and Hogan do not have any connection in wrestling and yet here is Rikishi releasing a diss track about a the 70 year old Hogan. I’m not sure if this is going to lead anywhere or if Hogan is going to respond to it, but it’s completely out of nowhere for a feud that took place forty years ago.

What do you think of the song? How would a Hogan vs. Rikishi feud have gone? Let us know in the comments below.
