Hang On A Second. Rumor: Seth Rollins vs. Brock Lesnar May Not Be Set For WrestleMania 35.

The countdown is on. We’re about three months away from WrestleMania 35 and that means it’s more than early enough to start speculating on the card. While nothing has officially been announced, there are various matches that you can probably pencil in already. One of those would seem to be the Universal Title match, but it might not be as simple as it seems.

According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, there is a chance that the Universal Title match might not be champion Brock Lesnar defending against Seth Rollins. While the match has yet to be announced, Rollins has mentioned Lesnar several times on recent editions of Monday Night Raw, saying that he wants to face him. Lesnar is currently scheduled to defend the title against Braun Strowman at the Royal Rumble.

Opinion: I’m not sure on this one as I can’t imagine anything but Rollins vs. Lesnar for the title, barring something major changing (such as Lesnar going to UFC). At the moment, there’s no one else on the Monday Night Raw roster ready to face Lesnar and it’s already been teased heavily. Rollins has been ready for this match for a long time now and it would make a lot of sense to run with it. Maybe things will change, but it would be very surprising.
