She got it. Titles are some of the most important things in all of wrestling as they identify the biggest stars in a promotion. Anyone, no matter how little they might know about wrestling, can understand the idea of a big shiny championship around someone’s waist. It can be a big deal when someone wins a championship and now that has taken place again on a pretty important shot.

A new champion was crowned over the weekend at WWE King And Queen Of The Ring as Liv Morgan defeated Becky Lynch to become the new Women’s World Champion. The win came after Dominik Mysterio interfered on Lynch’s behalf, only for Morgan to DDT Lynch onto the chair Mysterio introduced. This is Morgan’s second reign with the title. In addition, Women’s Tag Team Champions Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair retained their titles on the Kickoff Show, while Cody Rhodes retained the WWE Universal Title in the show’s main event.

Opinion: This is a title win that needed to happen, as Morgan has been treated as one of the bigger deals in the division for a long time now. While she had held the title years ago, it was time for a fresh reign to capitalize on her new career trajectory. I’m curious to see where she goes as champion, but Rhea Ripley is going to be waiting on her no matter what she does.
