That one? There have been all kinds of wrestling events throughout history and several of them have been somewhat forgotten to time. That can happen when an event does not take place over several years but every so often you will see one of them come back after a long hiatus. That might be what we are seeing again, as WWE might be bringing back another promotion’s event over twenty years later.

According to PWInsider.com, WWE has filed a trademark on “SuperBrawl”, suggesting that the company is bringing back the event. SuperBrawl was a WCW event which aired annually from 1991-2001 but has not been used since WCW closed. WWE has previously used WCW events such as the Great American Bash and Halloween Havoc for various NXT specials. It is not clear when or where SuperBrawl could air.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that WWE has been doing over the last few years and it makes for some nice nostalgia. If nothing else, it makes sense to bring back some of these classic names rather than coming up with some different ideas that are only so good in the first place. I could go for seeing more of the old WCW ideas, as this is something that could go rather well.
