And he’s done. There are so many wrestlers on the AEW roster and it can be difficult to find someone for everyone to do. That means you can often see stars sitting on the sidelines and waiting to be put back in the ring. Occasionally a wrestler who has not been around in a long time will just leave entirely without notice. That appears to be the case again, as an AEW star is gone from the company.

According to Fightful Select, Mike Santana appears to be gone from AEW as his name has been removed from the company’s official roster page. Neither AEW nor Santana have officially announced his departure. Santana spent most of his time in AEW as part of a team with Ortiz. The two then split and feuded, with Santana’s most recent AEW match taking place on October 25, 2023, when he defeated Ortiz.

Santana was rather good in AEW. Check out his time in the company:
Opinion: I’m not entirely surprised by this as Santana has not been used in several months and there is no reason for him to stick around if he isn’t going to be used. Santana is someone who has done well in AEW but his greatest success was with Ortiz. If the two of them are not willing to team together again, Santana might not have much going on in AEW so this might be the best move for both sides.
