It worked well enough for Backlash, Clash of Champions and No Mercy so let’s try it again. According to PWInsider.com, WWE will be bringing back the Elimination Chamber pay per view in 2017. No date or month has been given but the most recent event took place in May 2015. The show was traditionally held in February with five of the six events taking place in that month.

The Elimination Chamber is most often centered around one of the World Titles with either the title itself on the line or the #1 contendership. In 2015 however, both the Intercontinental and Tag Team Titles were on the line for the first time ever. Either situation could be true for the rekindled concept.

If WWE is bringing back various retired pay per views, they might as well bring back Elimination Chamber as well. It’s something that’s going to draw attention for the namesake match alone and WWE can tie in other big time matches, including one for a World Title for a main event if the Chamber is used to crown a new #1 contender. The matches are often entertaining enough and provide some chances for new names to elevate themselves.

Are you glad the Elimination Chamber might be brought back? Which brand would you rather see hold the show and what would you like to see on the line? Let us know in the comments below.
