Cut it down. There are several wrestling shows on the air today but the longest running and most prominent is the flagship show of WWE, Monday Night Raw. The show has been on the air for over thirty years and has undergone some changes during that time. In the coming weeks we are going to see a return to a previous era, even if it is just a short term change.

This week on Monday Night Raw, it was announced that the show will return to two hours, starting on October 7 and running through the end of the year. While there is no word on why this is the case, the change comes as the show will be staying on the USA Network following the end of their deal during the three month period before the show moves to Netflix. While not confirmed, it is expected that the show will return to three hours in the new year.
It’s a big show. Check out what has been happening on the three hour version:
Opinion: This is quite the surprise, and while I get why the show is not going to continue at two hours permanently, it is a nice change of pace after 12+ years of three hours. That has been a complaint among fans for a long time and it will be nice to get something of a reprieve. That being said, WWE is going to want to change it back to three hours because it is so much more money, but I’ll take a little change where I can get it.
