That’s a long time. There are all kinds of injuries in wrestling and unfortunately some of them can keep someone on the shelf for a very long time. Those injuries can often sneak up on you, as you might not even realize that they have taken place when you see them. Unfortunately that is what seems to have happened again, as a popular star will be out of action for a good while.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Ouch: AEW Collision Match Stopped Due To Injury
AEW President tony Khan has announced that Dalton Castle has suffered an injury and will be out of action for the remainder of the year. Castle was injured during his match with Roderick Strong last weekend on Collision, when he was knocked out by a jumping knee to the face. The match had to be heavily edited as a result. It is not clear what kind of injury Castle suffered.
Some injury news that's forced changes to the plans for this Friday's #ROHDBD Death Before Dishonor@theDALTONcastle was injured in his Saturday Night #AEWCollision bout last week vs @roderickstrong.
Sadly Dalton will be out of action for the remainder of 2024. Get well soon DC— Tony Khan (@TonyKhan) July 20, 2024
He’s had better days. Check out Castle’s time in AEW:
Opinion: That is terrible to hear and hopefully Castle is back in the ring sooner than later. I’m not sure what happened to him off a knee to the head, but if it is enough to keep him out of action for that long, something very serious took place. Castle is one o the most uniquely charismatic stars in wrestling and it would be great to see him getting back in the ring one way or another.
