Double Shot? WWE Is Reportedly Interested In These Two AEW Stars

They’re interested. AEW has done quite a few things for the wrestling industry, including allowing a new crop of stars a chance to shine on the big stage. Those are wrestlers who might not have been around before and are now getting to showcase themselves for a lot of people. This includes WWE, who notice the stars just as well and are now reportedly interested in two AEW names.

According to PWInsider.com by way of Wrestlingnews.co, WWE is interested in AEW’s Ricky Starks and Daniel Garcia. This comes as Starks has been absent from the ring in AEW since March amid reports of issues in how he was being used on television. Starks is rumored to go to WWE one day due to his friendship with Cody Rhodes, though there is no word on when his contract expires. On the other hand, Garcia was written off of AEW TV due to an attack by Maxwell Jacob Friedman as his contract is set to expire later this year. It is not clear if the two sides have come to terms on a new deal.

Opinion: It isn’t a surprise that WWE is interested in a pair of young, talented wrestlers who have been appearing on national television. WWE is always going to want to bring in some fresh talent and if they can take something away from AEW at the same time, it makes the situation more beneficial. If Starks and Garcia wind up making more money from it from either side, good for them.
