Wrestlers already have to deal with the normal aspects of their career, but then they have personal issues on top of it. That was the case over the weekend and it wound up going incredibly well.

Over the weekend, WWE presented Clash At The Castle in Glasgow, Scotland, with the main event of Drew McIntyre challenging Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship. McIntyre wrestled the match while his wife was undergoing emergency surgery on the same day, which was acknowledged by commentary. According to PWInsider Elite by way of Cagesideseats.com, McIntyre has received backstage praise for his professionalism by headlining the event while his wife was dealing with health issues.

Opinion: That is the kind of thing that deserves credit as it is hard to imagine dealing with both sides at once. Without the situation being mentioned, there was nothing about McIntyre’s performance that would make you think that anything was wrong. That is not something you get to see very often and hopefully everything works out for McIntyre’s wife, as that sounds rather serious.
