It’s looking likely. The rise of AEW has allowed all kinds of different wrestlers a new chance to showcase themselves on a national stage. As a result, several of them have gained attention from WWE, who will often offer deals to wrestlers when they become available. That appears to be the case again and now we know about more about what the two of them are planning.

Earlier this month, rumors began circulating that the Lucha Bros (Rey Fenix and Penta El Zero Miedo) will be departing AEW and going to WWE when their contracts expire at some point later this year. According to Fightful Select, it has become evident in recent weeks that the two do not want to re-sign with AEW. WWE reportedly believes that the two want to come in to the company together and not go to NXT. There is no word on whether WWE would be willing to allow them to come straight to the main roster.

Opinion: This is something that happens every so often as the two of them do not seem interested in returning to AEW right now. There is nothing wrong with that whatsoever and if WWE is interested in bringing them in, good for them for getting what they want. WWE has been picking off more and more names from AEW and that is only going to benefit the wrestlers at large.
