Sometimes you need a break. There are all kinds of injuries that can build up for a wrestler over the years and on occasion, they just need a breather. That is the kind of thing that can take away quite a bit of time from a wrestler’s career in the short term, but it is worth it in the long run. At the same time, it can boost up a wrestler who is credited with injuring someone else, which is what we are seeing today.

This week on Monday Night Raw, Bronson Reed attacked Seth Rollins with six Tsunami splashes, resulting in Rollins spitting up blood. This was reportedly done to allow Rollins to take time away from the ring due to an injury. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Rollins is described s “banged up” and is being given a break to allow him time to avoid chronic injuries and “get in the best physical condition”. Ther eis no word on when Rollins will be back in the ring.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that does have to be done every so often and it should help Rollins last longer in the ring. Rollins has wrestled for a long time with a very physical style and that is going to cause problems over the years. It is a smart thing to see him getting a breather, even though he has already been away from the ring for quite a good while this year.
