Bigger And Better Place? WWE May Be Planning Major Change For First NXT On CW

Road trip? There have been all kinds of changes taking place in WWE under the company’s new ownership but some of them have yet to actually kick in. Some of those changes will be a big deal when they take place, though there are some details that still need to be established. We might know one such change for a special night and it would be a big deal for everyone involved.

NXT will be moving to the CW starting later this year, with the first episode airing on October 1, as reported earlier this week. According to PWInsider.com by way of Wrestlingnews.co, the early plan called for the show to take place outside of the WWE Performance Center and instead in a major arena. No location has been named and WWE has yet to announce any details. There is also no word on if this would be a one off event or a regular move outside of the Performance Center. NXT has not taped its television show outside of the Performance Center in well over a year.

Opinion: If NXT can make this work, they would be crazy to not try and make it a reality. At the end of the day, one of the biggest things holding NXT back is the fact that they are always in the middle of such a small venue. I’m not sure if they can make such a move work full time, but for a big time special event like their first show on a new network, it is worth the try.
