Blame it on the boss. It’s no secret that Vince McMahon is the most powerful man in the history of wrestling. He’s the undisputed king of the sport and pretty much, whatever he says goes. Therefore, it should be no surprise that he’s the reason behind a recent decision that seemed to get on some fans’ nerves.

Why is John Cena still dangerous to every Superstar he faces?: WWE Talking Smack, July 11, 2017

According to a new report from SI.com, McMahon was the sole voice behind the decision to cancel “Talking Smack”. He felt the show’s freewheeling, unscripted style wasn’t in the company’s best interest and decided to pull the plug. The decision to cancel the show had nothing to do with low viewership and was made on the spot.

Opinion: Is this really surprising? WWE comes up with a concept that people find entertaining as they mock themselves in the slightest bit and it’s canceled as soon as the boss sees too much of it. I had a good time with the show as it felt far more spontaneous and realistic, which is probably what led to its demise.
