Empress of the red. Last week, Asuka officially vacated the NXT Women’s Title with the announcement that she was in negotiations to sign with either “Monday Night Raw” or “Smackdown Live”. The question was which brand she would sign with and it turns out we wouldn’t have to wait long to find out.
This week on “Monday Night Raw”, a vignette for Asuka aired, ending with a graphic that said she was coming soon. While no date was given, it will be at least several weeks as Asuka is still recovering from a broken collarbone she sustained in her last title defense at “Takeover: Brooklyn III”.

Opinion: This was one of those things where it could have gone either way and it would have been fine. Asuka is going to be an instant star on either show because they’ve put in the effort to get her over down in NXT. Her facing some of the bigger stars should be interesting, though the money match would seem to be with Charlotte rather than anyone on Mondays.
