He was busy. There are all kinds of people who come together to make a WWE event work and several of them are not going to be on camera very often. In addition to all of the wrestlers, there are people behind the scenes who set up quite a bit of the show. It can make a difference when one of them is not there, and that was the case again this week with an important show.

According to PWInsider.com, WWE COO Triple H was not backstage at this week’s Monday Night Raw. Triple H and WWE CEO Nick Khan were in Los Angeles, working on securing a new rights deal for Monday Night Raw. There are said to be multiple suitors interested in acquiring the rights for the show. Bruce Prichard ran this week’s show, held in Nashville, Tennessee, in Triple H’s absence. The show featured CM Punk’s first promo since returning at Survivor Series.

Opinion: This is one of those things that happens occasionally and makes perfect sense. Wwe does a lot of things but that means they have to take care of several issues at the same time. One of their biggest priorities at the moment is finding a new home for Monday Night Raw and it seems they are well into the process for the situation. It should be interesting to see how well it goes, but WWE seems to have options.
