Hand it over. Titles are some of the most important aspects of wrestling as they help identify the biggest stars in any promotion. A wrestler holding a championship feels like a bigger deal because the fans understand what they are seeing when someone has a shiny title. That makes new champions being crowned all the more important, which was the case again this weekend.

There was a title change this weekend at WWE Bash In Berlin, as Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair defeated Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. This is Cargill and Belair’s second reign as champions, after Dawn and Fyre defeated them for the titles in a three way match also involving Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark in June at Clash At The Castle.

Opinion: This is the kind of title change that needs to happen to make a show feel important. WWE is not likely going to be back in Berlin for a major show for a long time and it is a nice idea to have a title change hands on the show. It lets the fans feel like they are getting something special and that should keep them coming back. It’s a nice thing to see and hopefully we get to see it again sooner rather than later.
