WrestlingInc today revealed that WWE have issued a statement following the racial slurs uttered by LaMelo Ball during the ‘Miz TV’ section of ‘Raw’ last night.
As you can see in the video below, the ‘Big Baller Brand’ were the special guests on ‘Miz TV’ where Miz attempted to sign a deal with them, resulting in Dean Ambrose coming out in defense of the Ball family. This is when LaMelo would utter a racial slur. If you watch through the video above, you’ll notice that WWE have cut out that portion of the video specifically for that reason. If you are so inclined to want to hear his comments, popular wrestling YouTuber Joe Cronin posted a video of it on his Twitter, as shown below.

This remark would cause a media frenzy, with ESPN referencing it on their Mike & Mike show, leading to WWE issuing a statement to the Los Angeles Times reflecting what their values are.
“The inappropriate language used by a guest during the ‘Miz TV’ segment was not scripted nor reflects WWE’s values.”
It is unknown if LaMelo will be punished for this, though based on past special guests, it is not likely that this will be a problem.
We have the full ‘Raw’ results available here if you’ve missed the show.
Editor’s Note:
I hate that WWE felt the need to bring basketball superstars onto the show in an effort to improve ratings. I feel that if anything, it would decrease because people don’t want to watch a wrestling show for people that aren’t wrestlers.
