While in Australia on tour, former WWE star Austin Aries blasted the independent promotion he was working for due to the ring condition.

Aries was working alongside Sean Waltman (X-Pac) at World Series Wrestling in Brisbane for the promotion’s International Assault event.

After the match, Aries took to the microphone after being praised by Waltman, where he thanked him and called Waltman one of his idols.

Aries would continue by saying the following:

“But there’s one more thing. I’m known for being kind off an asshole, and I’m known for speaking the truth, and here’s the truth of the fact! You’ve got some talented men and women back there out here busting their ass! The stage that we bust our ass in is this wrestling ring, and quite frankly this wrestling ring is a f-cking disgrace!”

Following this, Aries threw the microphone to the mat and stormed off to the back. Waltman took the microphone and explained that what Aries was trying to say is that the ring hurt harder than their opponents did. He thanked the fans again before leaving.

During the match, it seems as though Aries also suffered a deep, but small cut around his eye. You can see the injury here.

With all that said, the posts on Aries’ Instagram account showcasing his experience with the promotion suggest that despite his issues with the ring, he enjoyed his time.
