Number 8- Rusev

As it stands right now, Rusev is set to be a huge part of the tag team scene on ‘Smackdown Live’ with partner Aiden English. Despite WWE booking him in this direction, it is safe to say that most fans want the ‘Bulgarian Brute’ to do a lot more.

When Rusev initially came to the main roster, he went on an undefeated streak and was a huge name in the company for approximately two years before eventually losing his WWE United States Championship to John Cena at ‘WrestleMania.’ This was the turning point. Since that time, Rusev hasn’t been able to achieve that level of support again.

With the rosters divided and Rusev backed by a manager in the form of Lana and/or English, 2018 could be the year that Rusev enters the main event scene as many fans have wanted for years. Given the opportunity, it is extremely likely Rusev could capture either the WWE Universal or WWE Championship by the end of next year.

From the ground up, Rusev is built as an absolute tank. Provided the company gives him a chance to shine as a monster heel or even as a face with fans behind him, he will soar. It has always been a matter of time for the former United States Champion as he has the necessary skills to be in the main event already and has for most of his time on the main roster.

We have placed him this low on the list based on the simple fact that it has indeed been a few years since he made it to the main roster and has seen nothing come of it. He is a monster when he needs to be, but when he isn’t he doesn’t do nothing. He doesn’t look like a legitimate threat. If the company wants to place him in such an important position, it is seemingly now or never.
