Ahh! Johnny Wrestling! The internet loves him, we love him and we strongly believe the company does too! The new number one contender for the NXT Championship may be unsuccessful in capturing gold at the upcoming ‘TakeOver’ event, but he is destined for greatness and so is his former tag team partner in Tommaso Ciampa.

Gargano worked for years on the independent scene making a name for himself. It may be weird looking at it now, but he was a seriously good heel in promotions like EVOLVE before becoming the loveable babyface he is now in WWE. Due to all of this, he has serious experience and fan support behind him.

Through working the Cruiserweight Classic and partnering up with Ciampa to form #DIY and even capturing the NXT Tag Team Championship, Gargano has established himself as a fan favorite in NXT and even to an extent with the wider audience. Gargano has every trait necessary to be the next serious competitor to Daniel Bryan in terms of fan support.

Gargano has his own Kevin Owens to catapult him through his WWE career. What we mean by this is that Sami Zayn and Owens have a storied friendship that continues to be brought up every couple of months and we predict the same sort of thing for Gargano and Ciampa, which will lead to some intense and impressive battles between the two, once Ciampa returns from injury.

If what fans have experienced so far throughout the career of Gargano is any indication of what we can expect for his future, he is going places. While he could potentially be 205 Live bound, we hope that he arrives on the main roster to compete for either the mid-card or main event titles because he will surely excel.
