Reigns was bloodied, beaten up and defeated, but he still appeared on ‘Raw’ last night, where he explained to the audience that he wasn’t warned about Lesnar and his contract status and found out about his ‘Greatest Royal Rumble’ Steel Cage match against the Champion from the internet.
Reigns told the crowd if WWE keep giving him opportunities at the Universal Championship, the end result would see him standing over Lesnar with the title.
As Reigns went to leave to a chorus of boos, the familiar music of Samoa Joe hit, as the former NXT Champion made his return to WWE TV since his recent injury.
Joe claimed that Reigns and Lesnar could face time after time but the end result will always be Lesnar holding that title. The same will apply at the ‘Greatest Royal Rumble.’
Regardless of whether Reigns is victorious or not against Lesnar at the ‘Greatest Royal Rumble,’ Joe will be waiting for him at ‘Backlash’ to rekindle their feud.
Given their history, this is a match that could go in either direction. Will Reigns get back on a path of dominance? Or will Joe make a victorious comeback against ‘The Big Dog?’
