After leaving World Wrestling Entertainment back in 2014, Punk made his way to the UFC where he debuted at UFC 203 in September 2016, losing to Mickey Gall via submission in just the first round.
After taking some time off to reflect and heal, Punk started teasing for months on Twitter about having a potential second match with the company- something UFC President Dana White has wanted.
Responding to a fan on Twitter yesterday, Punk confirmed he will be fighting yet again in the Octagon on July 9 at UFC 225 which takes place in his hometown of Chicago.
While there is no definitive opponent in line for Punk, many are speculating he will face Mike Jackson, who also matches Punk’s record of 0-1.
Check out the first fight here:
Here is what the UFC fan had to say:

As would be expected, this was Punk’s savage reply:
June nine, after I win and lock eyes with my beautiful wife, embrace my coaches and shout out my entire team https://t.co/TmzRWR2kbn

Who would you like to see Punk face? Do you believe he’ll be successful?
Editor’s Note:
As a fan of Punk, I’d love to see him participate again. I’m unsure if he can secure the victory against whoever he faces, but I’m sure for many we’d be happy just to see him back fighting in some capacity.
