In somewhat shocking news following the recent Enzo Amore rape allegations coming out of Phoenix, Arizona, WWE have confirmed that the city will host multiple events during the ‘Royal Rumble’ weekend.
The ‘Royal Rumble’ PPV itself will emanate from Chase Field on Sunday, January 27. This will be the company’s debut at the stadium and will be the first time a ‘Royal Rumble’ PPV will air at a baseball stadium.
In addition to that, the Talking Stick Resort Arena will host three other events during the week. These include:
- NXT ‘TakeOver’ on Saturday, January 26
- ‘Raw’ on Monday, January 28
- ‘Smackdown Live’ on Tuesday, January 29.
WWE explained that ticket availability and travel packages will be announced in the near future.
As WWE prepare to hold the ‘Royal Rumble’ this Sunday at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, take a look at the video WWE have just uploaded on the latest numbers surrounding the big event.
The night will feature two Royal Rumble matches, Brock Lesnar defending his Universal Championship against Kane and Braun Strowman, AJ Styles defending his WWE Championship against Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens in a handicap match, a 2-out-of-3 falls match for the Smackdown Tag Team Championship as The Usos take on Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin and finally the Raw Tag Team Championship will be defended as Seth Rollins & Jason Jordan do battle with Sheamus & Cesaro.
