Former WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos appeared with Mike Jones on DC 101 radio in Washington, D.C. to discuss several aspects of their WWE careers. Below are some of the early highlights from the conversation.
Jimmy Uso hit on what it was like going through FCW:
“Nah man. In developmental, it was so cool down there because we had free range on our character and our creative. So I was just Jimmy Uso, nobody. Just me. So was my brother. I was tagging with [Camacho] because my brother got signed because he had a knee injury, so I was down there for six, seven months before he came up, jsut trying to figure it out. So it took a while.”
The two discussed getting handed the torch and being locker room leaders:
“I think me and Use, we’ve always been laid back really people person, it’s not really like ‘hey, we’re the locker room leaders now, we have the titles.’ It’s cool that WWE put the titles on us because we’re the guys now, along with Roman Reigns, he’s the guy. Dean Ambrose. Bray Wyatt. So it’s good to have that.”
“I feel like we’ve got a good squad too. Just the young guys that came up with us, I feel like we’re going to be there for a long time.”
They also believed the Wyatt Family and The Shield were broken up too quickly:
“Yes, man the chemistry with us and [the Wyatt’s], crazy. Us and The Shield? Crazy. They elevated us too. They elevated The Usos too. They brought the tag division up too. Because it was like down for a while, ever since the Attitude Era, ever since the Hardy Boyz, Edge & Christian, Dudley Boyz. All of them. Now it was starting to get amped up. It was starting to get fired.”

Editor’s Note
The more I think about it, the more they could have done with the Wyatt’s. I won’t put the flame out on that one yet, though.
