New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees has teased WrestleMania 30 as taking place at the Superdome. He tweeted earlier today:
The word from the French Quarter is that @wwe is bringing @wrestlemania to our house in 2014! #NOLA @mbsuperdome #WM30

Many are expecting WWE to announce the Mercedes-Benz Superdome as the host of the 30th edition of wrestling’s biggest annual event as early as this Sunday at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, which is also being held in the city.
The stadium can hold nearly 76,500 fans, and considering its domed ceiling, would be an optimal venue for WrestleMania. It should also be noted that with the field not needed, the capacity for the event may be increased even further.
Altogether, the Superdome has hosted seven Super Bowls, including the most recent one between the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers. A power outage occurred during the game, but is apparently of little concern going forward. It has also been home to five NCAA Final Four’s.
This year’s WrestleMania will be the first cold-weather WrestleMania ever, as it will take place on April 7 in East Rutherford, N.J. at MetLife Stadium. The venue was announced around this time last year as well.
Wrestling Rumors will have more on the story as it develops.
