Last week, it was reported Ring of Honor had struck a deal to be shown in the Dallas-Fort Worth television market, a major upgrade for the company. According to a new report, the company be expanding its influence even greater starting Monday night.
Per PWInsider, Ring of Honor will be airing on the New England Sports Network, popularly known as NESN, Tuesday morning at midnight. It is, as of now, scheduled to be the only showing on the network, and it is unknown which affiliates will be picking up on it.
However, the outlet does note this could be the first step in bringing Ring of Honor TV to a more prominent level, as NESN will give major exposure to the program. If a deal is reached with NESN, there would be potential for a new audience to be introduced to ROH. The channel is currently available in the northeast on Comcast, Dish Network, DirecTV and RCN.
The particular episode airing Tuesday morning will be a repeat of what was aired already this past week. This is not to say new programming will not be featured on the channel going forward, but as of this time, no deal is in place.
Editor’s Note
This is pretty big news. If ROH could infiltrate local affiliates of major networks, it could soon be available to more people than “Impact” on Destination America.
