Damien Sandow Comments on New Gimmick He Debuted on “Main Event”
As seen in Wrestling Rumors’ “Main Event” spoiler Tuesday night, Damien Sandow debuted a new gimmick in front of the Canadian crowd that received a major response.
The former “Mr. Money in the Bank” debuted ring attire and a new entrance reminiscent of “Macho Man” Randy Savage, and embodied many of his mannerisms. Naturally, this led him to be dubbed “Macho Mandow.” Pictures can be found in the link above.
Sandow took to his personal Twitter to comment on the gimmick:

Sandow’s new persona appears to be part of his face turn, where he is putting an emphasis on entertaining the crowd and doing whatever is necessary for the WWE Universe. This was a major piece of his address to the fans on last week’s edition of “Monday Night Raw,” prior to being interrupted by Curtis Axel.

It is unknown if the gimmick will stick with Sandow, who recently debuted a new theme song as well. It is somewhat similar of what Charlie Haas worked with several years ago, debuting characters such as “Haas Hogan” in the process. Prior to becoming Damien Mizdow, he had dabbled in several different characters, primarily in a comedic role.
Editor’s Note
I love it, but I hope it doesn’t stick. I want to see him be his own individual. He’s talented enough, and he can do it.
