Kurt Angle has been away from action since undergoing emergency neck surgery on July 15th. His hiatus will soon come to an end, though, as TNA Wrestling has announced that Angle will be making his in-ring return during “Bound of Glory” weekend.
Angle will compete in his first match on October 3rd at a live event in Salem, VA, and will work TNA’s biggest show of the year, “Bound for Glory,” on Sunday October 4th.
He was recently interviewed by Mark Madden of 105.9 “The X,” announcing he will not be re-signing with TNA Wrestling when his deal is up in January. Angle also ruled out signing with WWE, saying he wanted to take a break from the wrestling business all together.
Editor’s Note
I’m happy Angle is healthy after the scare he suffered last summer. He will vastly improve the card for TNA Bound for Glory, and hopefully ends his tenure with the company on a high note. However, everyone in the IWC agrees that Angle should return to the WWE for one last run. There’s absolutely no reason after he cleaned up his life that he couldn’t sign a deal that calls for limited dates. He could work with anyone, and is still one of the best wrestlers in the world. I would love to see him compete with Rusev, Bryan, Rollins, Cesaro, Owens or Ziggler. The options are limitless.
