Bill Simmons’ documentary, which airs tonight on HBO is receiving rave reviews from those who had a chance to preview the film. Business Insider’s Jason Guerrasio states:

“With a powerful score, incredible archival video and photos, and interview clips from almost everyone you would want to hear speak about Andre, the movie shows a man living in a world not made for him — and the good, bad, and ugly that came with it.”

Andre’s struggle with pain is a major theme throughout the documentary.  There are also funny antidotes about wrestlers Andre didn’t think highly of.  Big John Stud apparently annoyed Andre because he walked over the top of the rope to enter the ring, a move that Andre was known for.  Macho Man Randy Savage’s excessive baby oil was a source of aggravation and he would hear about it from Andre.

The documentary premiered on March 29, 2018, with power couple Stephanie McMahon and Triple H in attendance along with superstars Mark Henry, Jimmy Hart, Hulk Hogan and Rey Mysterio.  Here is the trailer:
