Bryan became especially emotional about one young man in particular, the “Multi-Million Dollar Man” who normally uses a wheelchair.
“He doesn’t want to be in a wheelchair, so he had this cane and he comes down and gets in the ring . . . it’s incredibly inspiring, ” Bryan reflected. “As a new father the whole thing takes on a whole new meaning.”

About Connor’s Cure:
Connor Michalek was a passionate wrestling fan who gained the attention of WWE executives in October of 2012 when his story spread through social media. Connor’s wish was to meet his hero and favorite wrestler, Daniel Bryan. At the time, Connor was just 8 years old and had been in a 5 year battle with medulloblastoma, a rare tumor that attacks the brain and spinal cord. Within days of the social media campaign, WWE chairman and CEO Vince McMahon committed to helping Connor meet his hero. This meeting took place just two months later at a Raw event in Pittsburgh PA.
Sadly, Connor died in April of 2014. Connor touched the lives of Daniel Bryan, Justin Roberts and many other WWE superstars. Stephanie McMahan and Triple H founded Connor’s Cure in Michalek’s memory. The charity has raised nearly $1 million and helped more than 100 families affected by pediatric cancer.
