Alberto El Patron has now been fired from Impact Wrestling after he no-showed the Impact Wrestling vs. Lucha Underground crossover show at WrestleCon.

As part of Impact’s extensive schedule over ‘WrestleMania’ week, Patron was scheduled to team with Penta 0M (aka Pentagon Jr.) against Ray Fenix and Austin Aries.

Unfortunately, Patron didn’t show up. PWInsider was told that Patron was sick, despite appearing live on Impact’s Twitch channel earlier in the day for a press conference against his ‘Redemption’ opponent in Aires, where things escalated into a full-on brawl.

In addition to this, WrestlingInc is reporting that Patron didn’t show up for his scheduled WrestleCon appearance today, either.

Another story going around New Orleans is that Patron and Impact boss Ed Nordholm were actually staying in the same hotel as one another.

From there, Nordholm tried to check on Patron but was unable to do so. There was supposedly a lot of concern amongst personnel in the company over Patron’s well-being on Friday night, and there was talk of calling the police for a wellness check.

Impact Wrestling has confirmed today that their agreement with Patron has been terminated, effective immediately.

Wrestling Rumors will continue to update you on this story. At this time, however, it seems Impact will no longer have their planned ‘Redemption’ title match… unless this is a storyline.

You can find the other three competitors in the match at Impact Wrestling vs. Lucha Underground in a quick video below.
