It’s the final pay-per-view before WrestleMania, and Fastlane promises to answer some of the biggest questions we’ve had going into WWE’s biggest show. All of Raw’s titles are on the line—aside from the US Championship and its sadly-wrecked owner—so there’s a lot at stake for the red brand’s biggest stars.
The curse of the Raw women’s division continued as Charlotte Flair once again lost the title on Raw—this time to Bayley rather than Sasha Banks. It didn’t seem the Queen of Pay-Per-View would be losing that title anytime before WrestleMania, so her presumed reclamation of the title left this match lacking a certain amount of drama. But were our conclusions correct?
The match paled in comparison to the excellent Raw contest that won Bayley the title in the first place, but what can you do? Charlotte and Bayley had their back and forth, but Sasha Banks involved herself to ensure that Charlotte’s cheating tactics wouldn’t end the match prematurely. In the end, a Bayley-to-Belly pinned Charlotte in the middle of the ring, allowing the champ to retain and ensuring that the queen’s pay-per-view winning streak would come to an end.
Fastlane is a Raw-branded pay-per-view running live on the WWE Network from the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In case you’ve lost track, it leaves us less than 30 days away from WrestleMania in Orlando on April 2nd. Check in for even more live coverage here, on Facebook, and on Twitter!
