The WWE “Elimination Chamber” Pay-Per-View returns on May 31 exclusively on the WWE Network. The event was announced during the May 11 edition of “Monday Night Raw.”
It was previously reported that the “Elimination Chamber” PPV would not be held in 2015. Initially, Stephanie McMahon claimed that it was due to the weight of the chamber itself and the lack of arenas they were using that could hold the structure throughout the night. However, the PPV will be held in Corpus Christi, Texas, meaning the company found a venue that they could hold the PPV in.
The May 31 “Elimination Chamber” event will take place at the American Bank Center, and it will seemingly only feature part of the WWE roster. The event was slated to only be a WWE Live Event before the company decided to make it a WWE Network exclusive PPV.
WWE is holding another Live Event in Greenville, South Carolina on the same day, with the main event set as a Steel Cage Match between John Cena and Rusev for the United States Championship. That event begins at 1 p.m. EST, while “Extreme Rules” will begin at 8. The superstars in Greenville could be flying from South Carolina to Texas, but that would be a long day for the superstars involved in both events.
Editor’s Note:
Wha…WHAT? They promote this 2 weeks away from it happening? Something smells of desperation here.
