New Japan Pro Wrestling will debut on American television soon. According to the latest edition of “Wrestling Observer Radio,” the company will broadcast their programming on AXS TV beginning in 2015.

The announcement came on the heels of AXS TV revealing certain programming that will air on their network in the upcoming year, and highlights from NJPW were featured. According to the report, the promotion’s program will begin airing on Friday, Jan. 16 at 9 p.m. ET.

Dave Meltzer of “Wrestling Observer Radio” revealed details of the new arrangement during the latest edition of the podcast. He claims that the program will feature content dating back to 2013.  He also revealed that former UFC Heavyweight champion and NJPW superstar Josh Barnett and Mauro Ranallo will be providing color commentary for the broadcast and are expected to begin overdubbing next week.

Editor’s Note:
NJPW gets an American TV deal AND a PPV with Global Force Wrestling in January. This is going to be a big year for them.
