Kurt Angle Defends Himself Against Rumors of Being “Passed Out” on a Recent Flight

TNA Hall of Famer and former WWE Champion Kurt Angle recently took to Twitter to defend himself against rumors that he was recently “passed out” on a flight he shared with members of WWE’s crew. As it was previously reported by our friends at Wrestlezone.com, Angle was photographed on a plane by WWE employees “passed out.”

However, Angle sets the story straight in a recent post on Facebook, defending himself and revealing what really happened. Angle writes,

“I’m excited to say I’m coming up on My 1 year anniversary of being clean and sober. Im Very Humbled. GOD has truly Blessed Me. It’s been a difficult but exciting road to living alcohol/drug free. Then some heartless individuals want to create rumors of Me “passed out” on a plane. Wow! I guess You can’t take a nap on a plane when Youre a recovering addict. But it only makes Me want to stay clean even more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

The Olympic gold medalist recently told WWE Hall of Fame Jim Ross that he has not signed a new deal offered to him by TNA Wrestling and is currently weighing his options in regards to where he’ll want to likely finish out his career. Angle previously stated that he wanted to return to WWE before hanging up his boots, even telling some fans at appearances that he would be returning to WWE in the Fall of 2014.
