In a new tweet during a Q&A session on Twitter, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross acknowledges the WWE’s jab at him on “RAW” this past Monday night.
During the December 2nd edition of “Monday Night Raw,” a couple of “famous wrestling announcers from Oklahoma” were recognized, but not “Good Ol’ JR,” who is probably the most famous in that category. During Tuesday’s episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer and Brian Alvarez discuss the possibility of this being a shot at JR by the WWE.
The situation was brought to JR’s attention on Twitter Tuesday afternoon while he was interacting with fans, in which he both acknowledged the jab, and added clarity on how he knew it was indeed a rib on him. Ross said,
“@sescoops: #RAW, #WWE mentioned great announcers from Oklahoma Reesor Bowden and Boyd Pierce – but not @JRsBBQ. A rib. Neither from OKLA.

Ross explained to all of this Twitter followers that this was indeed a rib by the WWE, stating that neither Bowden or Pierce were from the Sooner state. Ross left the company under much controversy back in September.
