Intercontinental Championship Match Has Been Added to WWE “Fastlane”

An Intercontinental Championship Match has been added to WWE “Fastlane” and will see Bad News Barrett defend the title against The Lunatic Fringe Dean Ambrose. The match was made official during the Feb. 16 edition of “Monday Night Raw.”

Ambrose has been fighting to earn his shot at the Intercontinental strap for weeks, while Barrett refused to agree to a match. Even after Ambrose defeated Barrett in a non-title match and proved that he is the rightful No. 1 contender for the title, he had to take a different route in order to secure the match on Feb. 22.

During the Feb. 16 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” Ambrose forced Barrett to sign a contract for the bout by binding his hands around a ring post with zip ties. He then placed a pen in Barrett’s hands, and forced him to sign the document, making the match official.

Ambrose claims that he merely wants the Intercontinental Championship in order to get his photograph on the wall in WWE Headquarters. Can he overcome the bad news of defeat and make his desire a reality?
