Hulk Hogan will be in New York this weekend, but it won’t be for anything WrestleMania related. Hogan recently sat down with Newsday.com to talk about his WrestleMania weekend plans in NY, where Friday April 5th, he will be at the Beacon Theatre for “Hogan: Uncensored,” a interactive fan Q&A. Eric Bischoff and Dave Penzer will also be joining the Hulkster on the Beacon Theatre stage.
The same night, TNA will be hosting a show in NY at the NYCB Theatre in Westbury, which led to Hogan being asked if TNA and Hogan are making themselves look small in comparison to the WWE and its many events planned this weekend. “Oh, my God, brother, that whole WWE is a monster,” Hogan responded. “That’s a whole nother universe, a whole other entity.” Hogan then commented on being behind the scenes of TNA and being compared to Michael Jordan going from the spotlight to the board room, “When the business is in your blood, I don’t know what to tell you — I’m not worried about what Michael Jordan did, or what Vince McMahon is. I just worry about my own thing, bro. So, I don’t know what their deal is, but I’m still having fun.”
Hogan also talks about Bischoff being with him during his Q&As and speaking engagements saying, “Eric would fill in the blanks and kind of ask really good probing questions because he knows me so well because I’ve worked in so many different companies with him. He would kind of take the audience in a train of thought. And it gets crazy, man. So we can say we’re going to go X amount of time, and depending on the energy in the room with the people once we talk interacting — it gets really fun.”
When talking about the comparisons between TNA’s Aces and 8s faction being compared to the WCW’s nWo stable, Hogan says, “Well, there’s a plan … Long term is that we actually have people writing backwards — you know, from two years out backwards, or a year backwards, or six months out backwards. So they do have direction instead of a week-to-week situation.”
Hogan goes on to talk about his new beach shop, Jimmy Hart running said beach shop, restaurant, and more. You can read the entire article at Newsday.com.
