Former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar may be talking to UFC about possibly returning to their brand as a negotiation tactic with World Wrestling Entertainment. As we previously reported, rumors stated that Lesnar was reportedly talking to Dana White about returning to UFC a few days before “UFC 168.” These rumors have now seemingly been confirmed, however, the motive behind these “talks” between Lesnar and White are still unknown.
Lance Pugmire, writer for the Los Angeles Times, confirmed that Lesnar has indeed been in contact with White about possibly returning to the world of Mixed Martial Arts on Twitter Monday evening. Pugmire says,
@danawhite told me last week he was “talking” to @DCBROCKLESNAR but wouldn’t announce anything until a signing.

There is no confirmation as to when Lesnar would return to the UFC, if he does decide to do so. He is under contract with WWE until WrestleMania 31, which will be held in California during the Spring of 2015. However, speculation about the seriousness of Lesnar’s “conversations” with White have sparked numerous conversations.
Many believe that Lesnar, and his representatives, are merely using UFC and WWE in a negotiation battle against each other. Lesnar knows that he is a big draw in either company, and is seemingly using bids from both companies to see which one will give him the biggest pay-days once he signs a dotted line.
Lesnar last competed for UFC when he lost to Alistair Overeem at “UFC 141” in 2011. Lesnar has been employed on a part-time basis by World Wrestling Entertainment since April, 2012, and is expected to perform selected dates for the company until 2015. He is currently being featured on WWE programming, likely setting up a match with the Big Show at the 2014 “Royal Rumble” pay-per-view, which will be held on Jan. 26.
