Time to move on. According to a report from Fightful, Baron Corbin, Tegan Nox, and Indi Hartwell have all been released by WWE. These appear to be the only releases coming today.
The claim within WWE is that the three departures — Indi Hartwell, Tegan Nox, and Baron Corbin — are the only ones leaving in this round

That’s all she wrote folks. ??

Texan Nox tweeted this:
Some things are just out of your control and you can only do as much as you can. Let’s clear one thing up though. I’m ready. Ive been ready. Just have to show people what they’ve missed.

Hartwell and Nox were traditional releases and will be available to sign elsewhere after 90 days.
Corbin, a former NFL star and Golden Gloves boxer, signed with WWE in 2012. He was part of the initial WWE NXT Black and Gold roster and was brought to the main roster after winning the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at Wrestlemania 32. During his tenure, he held the United States title and underwent several character changes. Initially, he portrayed a Lone Wolf badass, but later, he evolved into a sad, broken comedy character known as “Happy Corbin” after achieving success in Las Vegas.
Hartwell, a former NXT Women’s Champion, signed with WWE in 2019. She gained significant recognition as a member of The Way, alongside her on-screen husband, Dexter Lumis. In NXT, she portrayed an adopted “parent” role alongside Johnny Gargano and Candice LaRae. Hartwell was promoted to the main roster in 2023.
Nox signed with WWE in 2017. However, during the Mae Young Classic tournament that year, she tore her ACL. Despite this setback, she made her main roster debut for WWE in 2021. Unfortunately, she suffered another torn ACL, leading to her release in 2021. Despite this, she was brought back in 2022 and last wrestled for the company in July of this past year.
Editor’s Opinion:
This is unfortunate, but not surprising. These talents had not been used on WWE programming in a while, and are probably looking for opportunities to show the world what they can do. Corbin’s release surprised me because he could take any gimmick and make it work. However, I have no doubt that all three of these superstars will land on their feet, because they are all very talented. I look forward to seeing them again down the road.
